ViSit UK-part 1(Manchester)

my visit to England.. 12-11-2009(Thursday)

UK here I come….It was a shiny Thursday morning. I wake up early in the morning and took a bath as usual. I was very excited because that is the day I’m waiting for almost 1 year to visit UK. I’ve never dream going there on this age. I’m very lucky and thankful to God and my dad that willing to support us there. My aunt also follow us on this trip. At about 2.30 we go to the airport. My grandparents and tok chaq send us there. At the airport, we check-in then wait for awhile before boarding. It time for boarding at about 4 in the evening. We arrive KL about 5. It was 50 minute journey. When we arrive my cousin, Kak Wa and Kak Eina which is my aunt daughter already waiting for us. Our flight to Manchester was at 11.40 p.m. but we will transit at Amsterdam for about 2 hour before fly to Manchester. We reach Amsterdam at 5.40 in the morning (local time). Soon after, we pray Subuh prayer at meditation room. We walked to find the gate that we will board soon and have our breakfast nearby. We ate bread that we brought from Malaysia and buy a cup of chocolate drink. Now it time for us to boarding.

13-11-2009 (Friday)

We safely landed at Manchester airport at 8.40 a.m. My mother’s friend Mkcik Sabariah has waiting for us. We were very happy. After a while, she brought us home by taxi. The taxi driver took our bag and put them in the boot. Then he asked “why it so heavy?” Mkcik Sabariah said “they bring rock from Malaysia”. hahahah. The taxi diver is so friendly. He always staring at us because he does not understand what are we talking about and Mkcik Sabariah said to him “I’m not talking about you!” than the divers just laughing. We arrive home. It was a very beautiful house. The temperature that day was about 13C. it was quiet cold. We rest for awhile and than took our lunch. Mkcik Sabariah cook curry and fried chicken for us. It was very delicious. In the evening, she took us to the shopping area which is not quiet far from her house. Back from that, we rest at home. We were very tired because of the 12 hours journey. That night we slept soundly. It think I slept about 12 hours because I asleep at 6 in the evening and woke up at 6 in the morning.

14-11-2009 (Saturday)

I woke that morning and saw my mother was preparing the breakfast. Mkcik Sabariah already went to work and will come back at 9 o’clock. We have our breakfast and then watching television while waiting for Mcik Sabariah came back from work. My father will come to Manchester today from Birmingham. It took about 2 hours journey. We will fetch him at Manchester Picadily rail station at about 12 o’clock. Before that, we will go shopping at the town. After mkcik sabariah came home, we go to the town by bus. We took a double decker bus which is very famous in England. But now, the bus is more modern. We have to take bus number number 135/59 if we want to go to town. This is because only this bus will pass through Cheetham Hill (mkcik Sabariah house). We arrive at destination. We walk around. Suddenly we saw an advertisement about a tram free for 14 and 28 November. It was a very lucky day for us. We can ride a tram for free today. She said it was a gift to her for her birthday. We shopping and go to every shop. After that we sat at the corner to eat and drink. It about 12 o’clock, and we are ready waiting for my father’s call. We walked to the station after his call. It took about 15 minute walking from Primark. After we found him, we took a rest for awhile and drink some hot coffee that was bought by my father. It taste so bitter. Yulks.. I can drink that.

Soon after, we go for shopping again. We went to Manchester Arndale which is one of the biggest shopping center in Manchester. There, we went to the Sport Direct shop and many more. I think there a thousand shop in it. Like my father has promised, he has buy my sister and me a pair of nike sport shoes. It was so fabulous. I like it very much. Thanks dad…. Next we walked around and around. But we still haven’t finished explore all the shop..After that, because of the free tram travel today, so we decided to ride the tram till the last stop which is Bury the English town.

15-11-2009 (Sunday)

The next day, we were ready to car boot. One of the famous market in England. It sells the second hand stuff and the reject stuff. We walked round and buy something. Then, we went to the second car boot. I don’t where…there, my mother bought me a bear and my sister got a sheep. I am very happy. We went home around 12. That evening, Pkcik Arif, bring my father, sister and me to Old Trafford Stadium. It is very huge. Unfortunately, there is no match that day so the stadium has nothing. After that, we sent my dad to the rail station. He has to go back to Birmingham because tomorrow he working. See u in Wednesday…. We went home as my father go.

16-11-2009 (Monday)

Today, we will go to town to find handbag for my aunt and mkcik Afza. We went to the Sefridges&co. this place is actually for rich people. All the stuff in this supermarket is branded like, LV, Prada and many more. We can just look because it is to expensive. There, we also meet Malaysian. He’s working there. He talked in malay…know what, he said he doe not speak in malay for a long time. So he said, “ saya suka cakap bahasa Malaysia..dah lama tak cakap..” he will be our hopping assistant. But we said to him, we just want to look first not to buy yet. Then, he said this one is cheap…whoa cheap! It hundred pound something and above….so expensive. So we make a decision to walked to other place first. Find at other shop...On the way to other shopping complex, we saw the Manchester Eye.. it is very huge. I think, every city in England will has this.

17-11-2009 (Tuesday)

Today, we planing to go to Bury the English town or Bury in Bloom.

We went there by bus. It took about 30++ minute journey. Upon arrive, I was so amazed that the scenery is so beautiful. We walked around and enter each shop there. The Christmas decoration is very nice. There also have museum, shopping center and many more. We can saw a windmill from there. Around 2.30 p.m. we go back. We reach Cheetham Hill and shopping there. We went to Big Discount shop. This shop sell thing with big discount. Heheheh. So many shop around there. Than we go to TESCO to buy some food and chocolate.

18-11-2009 (Wednesday)

Today is the last day we staying in Manchester. Now we going to Birmingham. Mkcik Sabariah and pkcik Arif will go with us but they went there by car and we’re going by train. I was very excited because this is first time I ride a train. So excited. We went to the train station by bus and meet Mkcik Sabariah son there. We buy a ticket and will board soon. Say “GOOD BYE MANCHESTER”…
